Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) was established in 2002 through a joint vision of the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the Founder Chairman of Jaypee Group, Shri Jai Prakash Gaur. The university was created under Act No. 14 of 2002 and approved by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. JUIT is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Academic activities began in July 2002, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, biotechnology, sciences, and humanities. The University has been accredited by NAAC in three cycles (2011, 2017, and 2024) and currently holds an A+ grade with a CGPA of 3.40.

The B.Tech in Civil Engineering at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) is a four-year undergraduate engineering degree that equips students with the technical knowledge and practical expertise required to design, plan, construct, and maintain infrastructure and environmental systems. The program blends rigorous academic learning with industry-oriented training, hands-on lab work, field visits, workshops, and real-world projects to prepare graduates for careers in construction, infrastructure development, urban planning, transportation, and environmental management.

JUIT’s Civil Engineering curriculum covers core engineering fundamentals while also emphasizing sustainability, cutting-edge technologies, and multidisciplinary problem-solving. Students are encouraged to engage in innovation, research, and teamwork, gaining the critical thinking and professional skills necessary to excel in both public and private sector roles.

• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) or equivalent with minimum qualifying marks (as per JUIT admission criteria)

• Admission based on JEE Main/State Entrance/Board Merit or other university-specified criteria.

• • Jaypee University of Information Technology offers merit-based scholarships for B.Tech, BBA, and BCA programs based on 10+2 marks.

  • Students can receive up to 40% tuition fee waiver for B.Tech and up to ₹7,500 per semester for BBA/BCA programs.

  • Scholarships are granted for the first year and continued subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 7.0 with a good disciplinary record.
